Nightlife in Hydra

Hydra City has a very good and varied nightlife. There is plenty of clubs, bars, and discos, most of them are only open from June to September but you'll find a lively late night scene at weekends throughout the year. The nightlife is very intense, like a smaller version of the one of the famous island of Mykonos; the difference with Mykonos is that nightlife on Hydra has less big clubs to offer and is a bit more sophisticated where you can party until the morning.

Bars in Hydra

The bars and cafes which line the waterfront are relatively expensive but they offer a perfect spot for an early evening sundowner enjoyed with a spot of people watching. Sip a glass of ouzo or retsina as the sunsetís sets and the halyards of the sailboat masts tinkle in the harbor. Stroll up and down the port long enough and you may even be lucky enough to get invited on board for a drink by one of the yacht set!

Pirate Bar
The Pirate Bar (Tel. +30 22980 52711) is located in Hydra Island. There is a friendly service and tasty daytime menu. The atmosphere is very exciting with great dance music every night. They are almost open 24 hours a day in the summer and they are here in the winter too.

Heaven Disco
Heaven Disco, a disco favored by the younger set which is located to the west of the Hydra City. It has an indoor dance floor and outdoor bar with superb sea sights. Open: from 11pm until early morning.

Isalos
Isalos Cafe (Tel. +30 22980 53845) located in the harbor of the Island, is a place that mostly attracts young people and acquires constantly new fans. You can pick from the menu different types of sandwitches, all in ecological baguettes produced by the Swiss house "Fredys".

Ciao
Ciao Cafe (Tel. +30 22980 53083) is located near to the beach of Hydra, to 10 meters from the port. Here you can have a coffee or a drink and eat your pizza or crumpet in a beautiful and quiet atmosphere.
