Eating in Sparta
There in Sparta is a wide option for meals, with most restaurants and tavernas concentrated on the main street of Paleológou - including several good psistariés towards the south end of Paleológou. One of the most famous music bars at present is Ministry opposite the Menelaion hotel.

Diethnes , Paleológou 105. Highly rated by the locals with a wide range of traditional dishes. The interior lacks atmosphere, but a delightful garden behind with orange and lemon trees compensates.
Dionysos , 2km out on the road towards Mystra. Expensive dishes, but served with style outdoors on a summer's evening.
Finikas , Thermopylon 51. Fine taverna cum psistariá .
Semiramis , Paleológou 58. Taverna, tucked away in the basement, with a traditional Greek menu; the house speciality is roast pork with aubergine.
