B.C.; the old Agora and the Roman forum; the temple of Zeus or Olympieum; the theatre of Dionysius (the oldest in Greece); and the Odeum of Herodes Atticus. Athens exhibits a mystifying mix of architectural styles from across the centuries and under many influences, making it a fascinating place to visit. A European Union-sponsored program aims to help in Discovering Contemporary Architecture in Athens by means of multimedia presentation and guided walks.
